Ping grew up in Hong Kong where Chinese Medicine has been an integral part of people’s lives. Studying acupuncture at the International College of Oriental Medicine (ICOM) has allowed her to reconnect with her culture and this ancient wisdom, She has been practising classical acupuncture since 2018. She also later studied Tuina massage with Rosey Grandage. Presently she is studying with Dr. Li Xin, from China refining her clinical application of Chinese Medicine.
She currently teaches at ICOM college and practises at the college clinic in East Grinstead and in Crawley. She is a general practitioner and has had experience in treating various types of western medical conditions including migraine, gynaecological issues, fertility, hormonal imbalance, eczema, autoimmune diseases, various types of acute and chronic pain, etc. She also has a special interest in supporting cancer clients, thus she has been running a volunteering acupuncture clinic at The Olive Tree Cancer Support Centre in Crawley for several years.
Supporting clients’ health with acupuncture and other tools are only one part of Ping’s work. Understanding the root cause to an illness such as lifestyle choices, diet, exercise and emotional status, however, is the cornerstone of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Through her own studies of Qi Gong and health/life nourishing practices, she’s been able to support her clients with these understandings.
Ping teaches Point Location at our Acupuncture college. She is a member of the British Acupuncture Council and is available on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at ICOM.
