Kate Joseph

Kate graduated with a BSc degree in Chinese Acupuncture from the International College of Oriental Medicine. She specialises in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Five Element Acupuncture and the classical system of Stems and Branches.

Kate has spent many years working within various healthcare settings and has supported people living with a wide variety of health conditions over that time. She is deeply passionate about navigating personal healing journeys alongside her clients with compassion, care and skill. She is constantly developing and expanding her understanding of health and well-being through her studies, which continue to inspire and evolve her treatments.

Kate is also a qualified massage therapist, specialising in sports and remedial massage and soft tissue therapy, and is a member of both the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) and the Institute of Sports and Remedial Massage (ISRM).

In the past Kate has spent many years living abroad, predominantly in India, New Zealand and Australia. She spent that time setting up projects and working within local communities. She was on the founding team of a farm based school in Tamil Nadu, South India and co-founded a tailoring unit which produced baby slings to be exported to the UK. During her initial years in Tamil Nadu she spent time running arts and drama workshops with orphanages in the area.

Kate has completed qualifications in horticulture and permaculture and has been involved in land based design projects creating sustainable, food based programs in India, Australia and the UK. She is passionate about the environment and growing food and is always exploring opportunities to live more harmoniously with the Earth.

She has worked within homeless communities for years and has set up annual fundraising to assemble and distribute winter packs for people living on the streets of Brighton.
